The W5 AMAZE App is an Augmented Reality “Portal” App consisting of a series of AR “portals” or “doorways” that will connect and transport visitors to other worlds... real and imaginary using their Apple (iOS) smartphone. The experience combines 360 degree Virtual Reality (VR) with an Augmented Reality (AR) experience actioned via a custom smartphone app.
Use the app to find special symbols dotted throughout W5 which will unlock the portal camera on your phone and open a door to another world. Enter that world by physically walking through the portal door, looking around in complete 360 degrees at your new surroundings and even look back into real world you came from. A simple concept but magical!
